Leave Your Home

Not forever, that is. What I meant by the title of today’s post is that in order to grow, sometimes there is a need to leave the comforts and security of home. I am sure many can relate to those times when you want to do something big but for some reason you just could not get it done despite having all the resources.

I know that many of the people I spoke with are going through the same thing. The danger of this is that, if not intervened it will eventually lead you to a life of mediocrity. Now, I don’t mean it in terms of material wealth, more to one’s meaning of life.

I have found that if you were to leave the comforts of home for a while, things generally take a positive turn, provided you are focus and have a goal to achieve. Next time when you want to do some work, be it writing, making stuff or whatever big plans you have, you might want to try to take it outside of your home and see where it leads you.

I guess now you have a legit excuse to get out of the house and do something productive, with your life. 😉

  1. hey, i can totally relate to this, having left home for the uk for my degree was one of the hardest things for me to do, and yet, in some larger than life way, i’m glad i did. for all those initial shortcomings and difficulties, perhaps its all worth it. so yeah, stepping out of a comfort zone is not easy, (it is a comfort zone for a reason, after all), but not always a bad thing either.
