The End Does Not Justify The Means

We have often heard the above statement being uttered around. But then again, it is much easier saying than actually practising it. So what is the big deal about it anyways?

Now, as much as I believe that we should be absolutely focus on achieving our goals and dreams and do whatever it takes to achieve them, I also feel strongly that we should always be ethical about it. It has to be morally sound. It should not go against your beliefs and principles. Because in the end, what good can achieving all the successes that you have ever thought of by trampling on others, destroying the environment or even hurting others bring?

One needs to be focus, motivated, equipped with an action plans and be guided by the value system that they have set in place in themselves. If he or she does not have one, I believe that it is about time they start one, regardless of their age.

It is also point to remind ourselves that there will be situations where we are positioned as an outsider looking in and we might tend to give our opinions due to what we see. However, there is always more/a story behind an occurrence and in most cases, that actually means more than the result at hand.

“Success is not a destination but a journey.”
