Admit it. When you don’t know, just admit that you don’t know the answer to it and go find out what it is, that is if you have to. I know some of us might think that because of our position, where we have people looking up to us, we need to appear all-knowing else they will lose confidence in our capability to lead them. But is that really the case?
Has it ever crossed your mind, that perhaps, admitting to them that you don’t know the answer could helped gain their respect even more?
This idea that we have to bring across ourselves in a certain way is all but human play. As long as we fall in the category of human beings, it is pretty much impossible to be all-knowing. So don’t beat yourself up when you don’t know the answer to something. Get over that ‘EGO’ business and embrace your humanity.
