As much as it may seem to ourselves that we are the only ones that need to survive in this world and that everyone else is out to get a piece of our share, it is not the reality. Yes, you might already know that and that’s great. So it should make sense then when we remind ourselves that when in negotiations, it is not about winning over the other person but achieving a balance scale where both parties benefit and are generally pleased with the result. It should not be our intention or sole purpose to squeeze the other person/group dry. That poor attitude will only get back at you one day, when you are least expecting it.
