Many of us are told that we should either do this or that, and not something else, even if that is what we really want to do. They cite your future prospects and financial stability as reasons for their ‘suggestions’. Only some will have a strong support from people around them to do what their hearts desire. Now, each of us are governed by our own moral compasses and set of value systems that are universally good. So as long as you know your perimeters, you should be able to do a lot of things. If it happens to be singing and you’ve been told that you have the voice, by all means, sing. Whatever it is that you want to do, as long as it does not go against your beliefs and principles, give it a go. You never know where it might take you but at least you can find out if it does take you anywhere. If it does, great for you but if it doesn’t, you can finally move on. It beats just thinking about it or worse, regretting not doing so.
